SiteSpect Certified for Payment Card Industry–Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 11 Years Running
BOSTON, March 24, 2020 – SiteSpect announced today that for the 11th year in a row, it has been certified by a third-party auditing firm for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
The PCI DSS is a standard initially put forth by the five largest credit card companies in 2004. The standards are intended to set requirements for organizations, sellers, and their service providers to safely and securely accept, store, process, and transmit cardholder data during credit card transactions to prevent fraud and data breaches. For SiteSpect, the PCI DSS certification is one of many privacy and security standards it maintains in support of its global business. Other standards to which it adheres include the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) readiness.
