SiteSpect, the leading provider of testing and optimization solutions, announced today that it has released an SDK to perform A/B testing and behavioral targeting for native iOS apps. The new SiteSpect Mobile: iOS SDK complements the company’s current web and mobile optimization platform and is designed to quickly integrate into any iOS app. It supports editing, creating, and publishing user experience changes without requiring App Store updates, allowing clients to increase native app engagement, conversions, and revenue.
Once the SDK has been integrated into the client’s mobile app, users can:
- Optimize the user experience on iOS mobile and tablet applications
- Make changes and run tests without App Store updates
- Create tests quickly and easily with a visual editor that requires no code changes
- Preview changes on the actual device before going live
- Swap out native images even after a user has used the app
- Target individual app users based on their behavior, usage frequency, device type, and more
- Automatically promote winning variations
- Integrate test data with third-party analytics solutions
“SiteSpect offers a complete solution to optimize the entire user experience, including native mobile apps,” said Eric J. Hansen, Founder and CEO of SiteSpect. “So no matter how our clients create mobile experiences for their customers, SiteSpect helps them optimize not just how they look, but also how they work.”
Hansen noted that SiteSpect enables clients to optimize mobile sites and apps built using traditional, responsive, or adaptive design, or developed as a single page app or native application, in addition to every aspect of clients’ desktop websites.
Through testing, clients can discover how much time visitors spend in an app, where they lose interest, and what kinds of experiences they prefer. This knowledge helps companies deliver an enhanced mobile experience, which in turn drives engagement, resulting in better conversions and revenue.
How It Works
Once integrated, a SiteSpect user can create new tests and metrics or edit previously created objects in a visual editor directly on the mobile device itself. The visual editor also runs on the Xcode simulator and every change or metric can be previewed and validated on the actual device. For more complex tests or metrics, the SDK also supports testing custom code changes and tracking more advanced user behavior. Users can run multiple tests at the same time and leverage SiteSpect’s powerful targeting capabilities. Tests will continue to work even when the application is offline. The SDK allows integration with any third-party analytics solutions such as Adobe® Analytics and Google Analytics for Mobile Apps iOS SDK.
