We’re thrilled to announce a major update in the ongoing transformation of our user interface (UI) with an initiative code-named Superfresh. This project is more than just a visual update; it represents a commitment to empowering product owners, marketers, developers, and CRO specialists to achieve their testing and transformation goals more efficiently, confidently, and collaboratively.
Through the phased release of Superfresh, we have already begun to:
- Simplify user onboarding with a cleaner, more modern design.
- Help users become more self-sufficient when using SiteSpect.
- Enable effortless discovery of SiteSpect’s full capabilities.
- Make adoption of SiteSpect easier for additional users and teams within an organization.
The SiteSpect UX Philosophy
Simplify and modernize
Prior to and throughout the Superfresh project, SiteSpect conducted extensive user research and usability testing, producing an effort that embodies these four key principles:
- Ease of Use: Facilitate the achievement of testing, optimization, and personalization goals with greater ease.
- Simplification: Clarify tools and navigation for more intuitive capabilities and an easier introduction to other teams within an organization.
- Modernization: Adopt a new Single-Page Application (SPA) framework to ensure a future-proof, rich, and fast experience.
- Self-Sufficiency: From streamlined workflows to intuitive features, a focus on helping product owners, marketers, developers, and CRO specialists collaborate and independently unlock SiteSpect’s potential.
Features Already Released
Better ways to navigate, create, and manage testing campaigns
A New Streamlined Navigation
Our new navigation menu ensures you can access everything you need without the hassle of expanding and scrolling through extensive lists. Features include:
- Flyout Sub-Navigation: Quickly access sub-options without clutter. Our new flyout sub-nav gives you access to all options without expanding, collapsing, and scrolling through a long list of navigation items.
- Recently Viewed: Quickly access your recently viewed campaigns and components, find your current projects, and pick up where you left off. You can also jump back into editing or analytics from anywhere.
- Slim Menu: Work seamlessly on smaller screens with a collapsible menu. You can switch between minimized and expanded navigation menus by clicking the hamburger icon. The minimized view gives you more room to work while preserving easy access to the entire menu.
- Enhanced Create Menu: The revamped Create menu simplifies workflows by organizing commonly used components in a clutter-free interface and allowing you to add the components you use most.
See examples of these features below.

Global Triggers
Define triggers once and reuse them across all metrics and variations, with centralized definitions for easier updates and fewer data discrepancies. Global triggers (formerly Page Categories) work on both the server- and client-side with advanced conditions like “and/or” logic.

Redesigned List Pages
Manage metrics and global triggers with simplified list pages featuring robust search, filtering, and custom views tailored to your needs.

New Metric Builder
Our wizard-like metric builder makes capturing and analyzing data a breeze:
- Clearly defined metric types: event, numeric measurement, and string capture.
- Easy-to-follow steps for setting up triggers and custom event listeners.
- High-level explanations for enhanced understanding and usability.

Reimagined test creation and collaboration
New Campaign Builder
The campaign builder—the heart of SiteSpect—is being reimagined. Here’s what we plan to achieve:
- Empower teams to design experiences spanning the entire user journey across web, mobile, and app channels.
- Offer flexibility for all skill levels, from visual editing to advanced code-based alterations.
- Streamline collaboration with a tab-based UI and focused variation views that enhance clarity and reduce clutter.
Key features will include:
- The SiteSpect visual editor for easy landing page changes.
- Advanced code editing for client-side and server-side experimentation.
- The ability to write custom JavaScript code that runs in a client-side manner.
- Regular expressions and simplified find & replace to alter web page sources and API calls on the request and response, including HTML, JS, CSS, JSON, and XML.
- Feature flagging for rolling out new functionalities and server-side experimentation.
- Personalization tools based on user behavior and contextual characteristics.
- Simplified navigation for managing large sets of changes.
- The ability to send users to alternate pages or locations with URL rewrites.
- The ability to offer product recommendations on any page, in any location, anywhere in the user journey.
The new tabbed UI will take a top-down approach to streamlining user experience while preserving SiteSpect’s unique power and depth. Cross-functional teams can collaborate at a higher level and easily drill down into specific changes and components. The focused variation view will provide more screen real estate with less clutter for creating, updating, comparing, and navigating large changes quickly and nimbly.
