SiteSpect has some impressive employees in its ranks: from industry influencers to mentors, from gamers to publishers. The Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work here. We’ll be featuring an interview here on our blog and on our social accounts.
For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we feature Tim Hudson. Here at SiteSpect, Tim is one of our optimization consultants.
How long have you worked at SiteSpect?
I just celebrated my 1 year.
Briefly describe your primary responsibilities within your role at SiteSpect. (What does a typical day look like?)
As an optimization consultant with SiteSpect, I help my clients build customer value by optimizing their user digital experience. In the day-to-day, this often looks like advising on their testing roadmap and strategy, developing optimal test approaches, or analyzing and interpreting test results. Beyond the scope of testing alone, I also encourage my clients to think about how value recognition and positive digital experiences build long-term customer loyalty.
What is it you enjoy most about your job?
Strategizing about ways to make and prove the value of rich, enjoyable, and effective customer experiences brings together elements of cognitive science, process engineering, psychology, art, math, and economics. These are all topics I love!
In your time at SiteSpect, what has been your favorite project or memory?
I don’t know that I can pick just one. Every once in a while I run up against some analytical puzzle that seems like it might be impossible. But then I collaborate with the team, ideas flow and, eventually we have a breakthrough. Those are the best moments.
When you aren’t working, how do you spend your free time?
I like to play chess (mostly variations on the London System), cook, invent cocktails, and read books. Right now I am reading Henri Murger’s Scenes of Bohemian Life and Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens.
List your favorite sports teams/bands/artists:
Golden State Warriors, mostly Steph Curry. Music-wise I have a pretty eclectic range from jazz like Stan Getz to 00’s pop like Coldplay.
If you could have dinner with 3 people from history who would they be?
How about Bill Murray, Carl Sagan, and Eleanor Roosevelt?
