Web Analyst
As a member of the SiteSpect Professional Services team, the Web Analyst assists our customers in crossing the bridge from where they are today using traditional "rear view window" web analytics to the future using the forward-looking "what if" capabilities of SiteSpect. As such, the Web Analyst develops an understanding of the present success and failure factors of the customer's website and then plots the path to improvement, using SiteSpect to continuously track the impact of their strategies on conversion rates.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with clients to develop clear business and measurement objectives.
- Solicit and/or recommend improvements to client sites that target conversion rates, then implement and manage the testing of improvements using SiteSpect.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to clients that support their business needs and assist client managers in interpreting the analysis. Assist clients in understanding your chosen strategies and what available information was used to aid in your decisions. Identify successes, failures, and trends and effectively communicate these findings to clients.
- Contribute to best practices portfolio.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of applicable experience, prior agency/consulting experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collect data, analyze trends, find stories, draw conclusions and act on recommendations.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software, and analytical tools such as Web Trends, Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, etc.
- Experience with HTML is required, with exposure to popular Web design tools a plus.
- Professional or academic experience in software programming a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and report writing skills.
- BS/BA in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or psychology preferred.
- Motivated, committed, quick learner and a self-starter, comfortable working within a start-up company.
