Web Optimization & Usability Consultant
SiteSpect, the leading provider of non-intrusive multivariate testing and behavioral targeting technology, is expanding its team of Web Optimization and Usability (UX) Consultants to serve its rapidly growing roster of top-tier clientele. In this role, you will leverage your existing expertise in Optimization, Usability, Web Analytics and related skills to provide our customers with leadership and guidance in their use of the SiteSpect system. But more importantly, it will be the consultant's responsibility to ensure that customers receive the ROI they're seeking by leading them through the processes of optimization and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to develop clear and measurable business and testing objectives.
- Solicit and/or recommend improvements to client sites that target conversion rates, then implement and manage the testing of improvements using SiteSpect.
- Provide regular reporting and analyses to clients that support their business needs and assist client managers in interpreting campaign results. Assist clients in understanding your chosen strategies and what available information was used to aid in your decisions. Identify successes, failures, and trends and effectively communicate these findings to clients.
- Train clients in the usage of SiteSpect and provide telephone and email technical support as necessary.
- Contribute to best practices portfolio.
- Leverage strategic and analytic skills to discover insights from available client data sources such as web logs, analytics tools, and SiteSpect.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables to meet client expectations.
- Identify opportunities to add additional value to client relationships.
- Maintain up-to-date engagement status and narrative in CRM database system.
- Provide regular feedback to corporate marketing and engineering regarding experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of site optimization, usability analysis, and/or analytics experience. Prior agency/consulting experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic optimization initiatives and lead a culture of continual improvement
- Data driven thinker, ability to analyze trends, find stories, draw conclusions and act on recommendations.
- High level of computer literacy, proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software, and analytical tools such as SAS, SPSS, Excel, etc. Experience with Regular Expressions a plus.
- Solid understanding of online analytics metrics and terminology. Experience with Web Analytics tools such as Web Trends, Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, etc.
- Website development/design experience preferred; Experience with CSS and JavaScript a plus.
- Professional or academic experience in software programming a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and report writing skills.
- BS/BA in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or psychology preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Web site analysis, customer behavior analysis, usability, reporting and analysis design, measurement strategy development, user interface design, statistical modeling, and web marketing measurement.
- Motivated, committed, quick learner and a self-starter, comfortable working within a start-up company.
